SHANA TOVA HAPPY NEW YEAR
Traditionally, at the beginning of a new Jewish year, we send one another postcards at with “Happy New Near / Shana Tova”. This year, we would like to expand the tradition out of the borders of Israel and make it a regional event. To do that, we worked with a few Facebook pages from the “we love you” community
We wished everyone in Israel, in the Middle East and all over the world…
a happy new year : Shana Tova!

After all we’ve been through, we ended up living in Thawra Baghdad, a government housing project from the 50s that has grown to become a city within a city, where people live together in tight confines, almost on top of each other.
As a multimedia artist i find comfort knowing that from Thawra came some of the finest poets, thinkers, football players and visual artists.
Once, i took a taxi from Thawra to visit my childhood city of Mahmoodiya, a stone throw away from the ruins of the ancient city of Babylon. As asphalt road ended, there set my city: neglected with different street names, yet bearing all my memories. I thought of what I’ve lost and what I’ve gained, what is broken beyond repair and what can be redeemed.

PEACE it’s VIRAL
PEACE starts with the people, one person at a time. Today it’s easier than ever to connect and reach out to one another. We can talk, we can meet, and we can start a new friendship without even leaving our homes just by the click of a button. One new person, One new connection. Peace is when we see and treat each other as people. All we have to do is talk.
